Biography
Peter Diamandis was born on May 20, 1961, in The Bronx, New York. He holds a degree in Molecular Genetics and Aerospace Engineering from MIT and an MD from Harvard Medical School. Diamandis is the founder and chairman of the XPRIZE Foundation, which designs and launches public competitions to solve humanity’s grand challenges. The most famous XPRIZE — the $10 million Ansari XPRIZE for private spaceflight — helped catalyze the commercial space industry.
